Some demonstrators hailing from Zamfara state have urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to resume its inquiries into the state's former governor, Bello Matawalle. The protesters, operating under the banner of the APC Loyalists Forum, are pressing for a thorough investigation into all accusations leveled against the former governor, particularly concerning the purported misappropriation of contracts totaling N70 billion during his tenure.
Wilson Uwujaren, the EFCC's Director of Public Affairs, received the group's petition on behalf of the commission's chairman. Uwujaren assured the demonstrators of the EFCC's unwavering commitment to diligently pursue all corruption allegations to their logical conclusion.
