The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has approved the appointment of Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame as the new spokesman for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).
Air Commodore Ejodame takes over from Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa, who was appointed to the position in October 2024. The new appointment reflects Ejodame’s extensive background and experience within the Nigerian Air Force.
A member of the 45th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Ejodame holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s degree in Transport and Logistics, and a PhD in Information Systems and Management Studies from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom.
Ejodame’s distinguished career within the NAF includes significant roles such as Directing Staff at both the Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Jaji, and the National Defence College in Abuja. He also served as the Pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) in Kaduna, where he further contributed as the Director of Procurement at the same institution.
In addition to his technical and academic roles, Air Commodore Ejodame has had a diplomatic career, serving as Nigeria’s Defence Adviser at the Nigerian High Commission in Malaysia, where he was concurrently accredited to nine other countries. His diplomatic engagement helped strengthen Nigeria’s defense relations across the region.
With his vast experience and educational background, Air Commodore Ejodame is poised to serve as a valuable voice for the Nigerian Air Force as its new spokesman.
