Air Peace Flights Delayed by Heavy Rainfall in Lagos

Air Peace has announced delays across some of its flight routes following heavy rainfall in Lagos on Tuesday morning.

In a statement signed by spokesperson Osifo-Whiskey Efe, the airline said adverse weather conditions had disrupted operations but stressed that passenger safety remains its top priority.

“We wish to inform you that due to the heavy downpour of rain in Lagos this morning, some flights across our operating networks will be delayed,” the statement read.

While noting that weather disruptions were beyond its control, the airline assured passengers it was working to minimise the impact. “We appeal for your understanding as we manage the disruptions as best as we can and get you to your destinations safely,” it added.

Passengers were urged to contact the airline via email or phone for updated flight schedules.

Air Peace also reiterated its strong safety record, stating, “Safety is not just a priority but a core commitment. We remain dedicated to upholding the highest safety standards for our passengers and crew.”

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) had earlier forecast thunderstorms and rainfall across the country between Monday and Wednesday, with flash flood risks in Adamawa, Taraba, and Gombe states.
