A Federal High Court in Borno has directed the release of 313 suspected terrorists apprehended by the military. The court cited insufficient evidence to prosecute the suspects following a thorough investigation. The Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. Buba Edward, announced this during an operational briefing in Abuja on Thursday.
"The court has ordered their release due to lack of evidence after the completion of the investigation and other related matters," Maj. Gen. Edward stated. Consequently, the suspects will be transferred to the Borno State Government for further proceedings.
