The Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, led by former Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola, has been recognized as the top-performing ministry in the Ease of Doing Business ranking. This announcement was made on Friday by Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Special Adviser to the President on the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC).
At a town hall meeting chaired by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, Dr. Oduwole highlighted the ministry's success in aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s eight-point agenda, which emphasizes business climate reforms. The minister's strategic efforts, including meetings with agency heads, were pivotal in achieving this top ranking.
“The minister deserves special recognition and applause,” Dr. Oduwole stated, acknowledging the dedication to advancing Nigeria’s marine and blue economy sector.
