The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast a mix of sunshine, cloudy weather and thunderstorms across different parts of the country from Sunday through Tuesday.
In its latest weather outlook released in Abuja, the agency said the northern region will experience mostly sunny conditions with patches of clouds on Sunday, alongside morning thunderstorms and moderate rainfall in parts of Taraba, Adamawa and Kaduna states.
As the day progresses, thunderstorms with moderate rainfall are expected in Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa, Katsina, Kano, Kaduna, Adamawa and Taraba states.
For the North-Central region, NiMet predicted morning thunderstorms with moderate rainfall in parts of Plateau, Niger, Nasarawa and the Federal Capital Territory.
Later in the day, similar weather conditions are expected across Kogi, Benue, Plateau, Niger, Nasarawa and the FCT.
In the South, moderate rainfall is forecast for parts of Ondo, Ogun, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Lagos and Bayelsa states during the morning, with rain expected to spread across the region later in the day.
On Monday, the agency said parts of Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi, Adamawa and Taraba states are likely to experience morning thunderstorms with moderate rainfall.
Afternoon and evening thunderstorms are also expected in Borno, Jigawa, Yobe, Bauchi, Gombe, Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Taraba and Adamawa states.
In the North-Central zone, morning rainfall is expected in parts of Niger, Kwara and the FCT, while thunderstorms are forecast across the region later in the day.
Southern states, including Cross River, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Lagos and Rivers, are expected to experience light rainfall in the morning, followed by more widespread thunderstorms and moderate rainfall later in the day.
For Tuesday, NiMet predicted partly cloudy skies across the northern region, with light morning thunderstorms expected in parts of Bauchi, Jigawa and Yobe states.
The agency said thunderstorms with moderate rainfall are likely across the North later in the day.
The North-Central region is expected to begin the day with sunny skies and patches of clouds before thunderstorms develop during the afternoon and evening.

In the South, cloudy conditions are expected, with light morning showers in Edo, Cross River, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Rivers states, while moderate rainfall is forecast across the region later in the day.
NiMet advised Nigerians to take precautionary measures, warning that strong winds could accompany thunderstorms.
The agency urged residents to secure loose objects, avoid driving through floodwaters, and refrain from travelling during heavy rainfall.
It also warned that the persistent rainfall expected in coastal states could lead to flash flooding.
The agency further advised people to unplug electrical appliances during storms and avoid sheltering under tall trees because of the risk of falling branches or uprooted trees.
Airline operators were also urged to obtain airport-specific weather reports from NiMet to aid flight planning and ensure safe operations.
