Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa announced this during the launch of the late Rosa Jane Pelly legacy project at Fiwasaye Girls’ Grammar School, Akure.

Represented by his Deputy, Mr Olayide Adelami, Aiyedatiwa affirmed his administration's commitment to prioritizing education, citing the state's notable progress in academic performance.

"We have recently sanctioned the hiring of 2000 teachers for our primary and secondary schools to rejuvenate our educational institutions," he stated.

Additionally, the government has approved N550 million for the registration of students in state-owned secondary schools for the 2024 WAEC examination, further demonstrating its dedication to education.

Acknowledging the contributions of Miss Jane Pelly, the pioneer principal of Fiwasaye Girls’ Grammar School, Governor Aiyedatiwa called for collaboration with well-meaning individuals to achieve the state's educational objectives.

Principal Temitope Ojoge praised the government and the donor for their substantial contributions to education, highlighting the new building as a symbol of progress, growth, and the resilient spirit of the school community.
