Governments and police in the Southeast have urged residents to ignore the sit-at-home call by the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), scheduled for May 30th, to honor civil war fighters.

Enugu State government, echoing Governor Peter Mbah's commitment, is determined to end the illegal sit-at-home exercise, emphasizing progress in combating insecurity and warning against any attempt to disrupt peace.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide will convene a meeting in Enugu to address the issue, while Anambra State police encourage residents to continue normal activities, asserting that IPOB's authority is null, and security will be maintained.

In Ebonyi State, police warn IPOB to stay away and assure residents of security, echoing sentiments from Abia State, where officials deem the directive illegal, urging residents to disregard it and emphasizing that the police will maintain peace and order.
