The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced the release of results for candidates who sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18.
In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the board confirmed that a total of 1,264,940 results from the two days have been processed and made available.
According to the board, this latest release adds to the earlier batch of 632,752 results for candidates who wrote the examination on Thursday, April 16, bringing the total number of results released so far to 1,897,692.

Candidates have been advised to check their results using the official SMS method. To do this, they are required to send “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number they used during registration.
JAMB explained that the released results cover the first three days of the nationwide examination, which began on Thursday and is expected to involve over two million candidates across various computer-based test centres.
The board also reassured candidates that the result-checking process remains straightforward and consistent with previous years, urging them to follow the approved channels to access their scores.
